Three weeks following Sectionals Ghetto rolled into Oberlin, Ohio, ready to dominate. As it turned out the domination was not as severe as hopped. The East Plains Section once again received little respect in the tournament seeding. One might expect the first place teams from each Section would receive the top three spots, and second place would receive the next 3 or at least one of the next 5 spots. No, after finishing second in its section Ghetto received the glorious position of 9th seed.
The danger of the 9th seed is that in the first game you must play the 8th seed, unlike seeds 4 through 7 who found themselves with a considerably easier morning. Ghetto Should have won this first game, but fell in a close 15-13 loss to Northwestern.
Ghetto's Regionals training was hampered by several unfortunate events. Firstly, The M.A. Show was unable to practice prior to or play at Regionals due to a severely strained ankle. Secondly, Corboy was unable to practice until days before Regionals thanks to a severely bruised/broken tailbone suffered in the Championship game at sections against OSU. And most importantly, Ghetto was not able to scrimmage at practice due to a lack of healthy A team players and abandonment from the B team.
In its second game Ghetto beat Ball State 14-11. Ball State played surprisingly well in its first game losing to Michigan 15-11, and again played well against Dayton. After defeating Ball State ghetto lost to the University of Chicago. For the second year in a row Ghetto ended Regionals with a victory over the higher seeded Michigan State, winning 13-6. Ghetto Finished in 9th place, holding seed.
